At the end of April I had a total hip replacement procedure at St. Michael's Hospital, having endured some two years of pain and difficulty in walking any distance.
The team carrying out the operation were obviously superb judging by the results.
However I must draw attention to the excellent treatment I received at the hands of the nursing staff.
It is regrettable that I am not allowed to name the staff concerned because they all deserve recognition for their discipline, respect and courteous manner.
The morale is very good as exhibited by their happy and smiling appearance.
As the result of the care and physiotherapy I received, I was able to return home after four days.
I attended the same hospital for my post-op appointment with the consultant seven weeks later able to walk unaided and without a limp or pain.
This was achieved by following the advice and exercises given by the hospital staff.
St. Joseph's Ward is my recommendation for the best treatment and speedy recovery.
"Overall the best hospital in Cornwall"
