"Ward C41 - Gastoenterology New Cross Hospital"

About: New Cross Hospital

(as the patient),

Following an emergency admission due to Crohn's disease, I spent 3 days in the card of ward C41. The staff were incredible, ensuring time was spent not only administering care, but spending time with those patients who were going through particularly difficult circumstances, for instance Stephanie's daily talks with a patient next to me who had been in the hospital for 7 weeks, treating not only physical but mental needs.

A number of particularly ill patients were ill throughout the night which disrupted sleep, however the nursing team were always on hand throughout the night, at times managing particularly difficult patients with the upmost of professionalism.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff on Ward C41.
