"Eye Clinic - Ground Floor Tower Block"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Ophthalmology

Visited eye clinic as outpatient. Arrived at 09.22hrs. Checked in at Eye Clinic reception then waited for approximately 15 min before having been seen by nurse for eye test etc. Once finished I had to go to the imaging department where I waited maybe 10 minutes to have scan and pictures of my eyes taken. Afterwards within 25 minutes I was seen by a consultant. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. By 10.55hrs I left the hospital. All went well and smooth. The waiting areas were clean and tidy. Water was available.

Dear Conny

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback about your recent experience at the Royal Cornwall Hospital when you attended the Outpatient's Eye Clinic.

I was glad that you didn’t have a long wait and that all staff were friendly and helpful. I was also really pleased to hear that you found the waiting area to be clean and tidy with water available – it’s important to us that we make waiting areas as comfortable as possible for our patients.

I have passed your lovely comments to the Ophthalmology Matron and to our colleagues in Mitie and know that they will be delighted to receive such positive feedback.

Best wishes

Julie Hughes, Patient and Family Experience Coordinator
