What could be improved
I am currently trying to contact this hospital by phone without success. I have been called in for appointments twice only to find out that the appointment didn't happen as my notes hadn't been read correctly. There seems to be a breakdown in communication and whilst I was there getting my appointment re-booked, the booking clerk was awkward and rude to the doctor in front of me.
I was due to go in today at 7:30 and arranged childcare cover only to have the appointment changed yesterday, very late notice. No one has explained what's happening to me today which is why I'm sitting on the phone which never gets answered.
This hospital is old fashioned as are the staff, I'm sure one of the doctors said they'd "have a go " at correcting my sleep disorder with an operation.
The receptionists are stroppy and unhelpful and every time I visit the hospital I am sent from one desk to another, up and down the stairs with two toddlers in tow.
Have just got through on the phone, of course I have been put through to the wrong department and need to call again. Once again when I complained about the late rescheduling of my appointment the receptionist became agitated and said "well are you coming in or not". I have real misgivings about having any surgery in this place.
