About: University College Hospital

What I liked

From the moment I was in A&E, through surgery and recovery to the time I was discharged I had the feeling that I am in competent professional hands and they are doing everything possible to help and get me better. I lived in the states for over 10 years, before I moved to London 2 years ago, I can say that the overwhelming plus of this hospital, beyond the world class medicine is the positive, friendly and always smiling attitude of nurses, doctors and staff of T6 - Acute Surgical Unit (ASU) that I believe helped me more than painkillers to deal with the problem I was having for 4 days before I got into surgery and during recovery. Keep up the good work!!!

What could be improved

Elevators … the extremely condescending and annoying tone of the “lady” that repeats at every floor “Please refrain from discussing confidential information in the lift”. I believe such world class professionals don’t need that repeated 100 times a day to get the message. If it happens to stop at every floor by the 6th floor one is ready to run for the stairs a day after surgery ;) . Can we get elevator music back please? :)

Thank you for your kind comments about your stay which have been passed to the staff who will be very pleased to hear such positive feedback. Your comment about the lifts has been passed to facilities.
