"Britford Ward Staff provide excellent care"

About: Salisbury District Hospital

Following an admission from A&E I was quickly processed scanned and prepared for surgery for bowel complications. I spent the following 5 days in Britford Ward until I was well enough to continue my recovery at home.

The care I received was first class and I was humbled by the hard work, dedication and patience shown by all the staff not only to me but all the other patients on the ward.

5 days of being mostly bedridden let me observe the wonderful work that the staff do with the wide variety of patients on the ward. Even with difficult patients they demonstrated such professionalism, kindness and good humour.

The staff all deserve medals and pay rises. Keep up the good work Britford Ward - you are an example of the NHS operating at it's very best.

I only had three meals during my stay - due to the restrictions of my diet the choice was limited and unappetising. The choice on the menu sheet otherwise looked ok though.
