My 91 yr old. mother was admitted after a stroke and was on the ward for 18 days. The care was exemplary. The nurses were superb , caring and empathic not just of my mum but of
The family as a whole. She was frail and it was soon clear she was not going to recover. This was understood and I cannot think of anything more to be done to meet her needs, keeping her clean pain free and comfortable.
All the staff were extraordinary and the care was second to none.
At one point we observed the ward were dealing with some sadly confused, wandering patients who required 1 to 1 supervision. They were still very caring and patient with these patients and still attended well to all the other patients.
The doctors also were superb.
We thank everybody for their care in making my mother's illness less distressing for us all.
