What I liked
We were on holiday and my husband injured his leg late on Sunday evening. The lady on the front desk was so very kind she greeted us with a smile and asked a porter to help my husband from the taxi to the casualty department. We had quite a long wait to be seen the doctor and I found the waiting area rather bleak and lack of reading material or anything to occupy us rather annoying. The only person we saw for over an hour and a half was the lady in the front reception. She offered me her newspaper to read and explained to me how to use the coffee machine - there was nowhere to obtain food at this hour. My husband was seen 1 1/2 hours after we arrived and was patched up and we were sent on our way. There were no taxies working by this time and we had to sit in the reception area for over an hour until the receptionist could get through to a taxi firm. While praises are given to the medical staff , we must not forget the receptionists and night porter who were really kind to my husband and I during this stressful time. Her smile and caring attitude were a breath of fresh air.
What could be improved
Food available, reading material in waiting room. More infomation on waiting times.
