What I liked
I have had occasion to need medical services at Chase Farm twice (plus follow ups) in the last 12 months or so - both experiences were excellent. The A&E department dealt with my badly injured knee promptly and efficiently , I was booked into the Fracture Clinic the next day, given a thorough check up and mobility aids, booked into an MRI scan within a short waiting time and re-seen with the results - all within very reasonable waiting times. The Fracture Clinic waiting area was not brilliant - but, hey, the admin staff there were friendly and efficient and the medical staff I saw were highly competent, re-assuring, gave me a straightforward account of what was wrong, treatment options and referred me to good physio staff on the spot.
I had a similar good experience with the Chase Farm Audio/Hearing Centre. The time from my GP referal to appointment at the Centre for a non-life threatening, non-emergency condition was quite short - and again the assesment was thorough and friendly and the options, aids available and coping strategies were carefully explained.
What could be improved
Very little. The Fracture Clinic waiting area was quite congested with people standing and there was a bit of a wait beyond the appointment time (although I assume this might depend on unpredictable A&E demands) but frankly I wouldn't want any improvement here to be at the expense of medical priorities and an existing good service.
Anything else?
I came across this form by accident. When I searched the Chase farm website I could find the 'complaints' section - but not this facility which could be used for commending the serive received.
