"Repairs to hip replacement"

About: Royal Gwent Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I missed a step in my garden fell onto my left side, fractured the bones around the hip joint replacement,

Apart from calling 111 not a good idea, 8 hours to come,

1/2 an hour from arriving at the Gwent, Xrayed then onto a ward,

Awaiting the surgeon no problem no pain for two days. Operation done, up to Ward C5 West, best treatment best nurses. Best fellow patients, Food? ? Quite good sandwiches excellent,

14 days this time,

I thought oh dear I've broken my leg it's no emergency, perhaps 111 was Not the correct choice in this instance, should I have called 999?? Not that I envisage a reoccurrence ,
