"Mesh tape"

(as the patient),

I have now got nerve damage and burning sensation and had operation on my back wich didn't work am now using mobility walker to get about cause of nerve damage I am looking for advice on my condition I have took few infections I have spoke to my doctor about getting the mesh tape out but they said it might do more harm I am at my wits end with constant pain please help me get more information thanks

Sorry didn't get back to you ended up in resus in monklands and then away getting shock test done am not good at talking on phone a get nerves then start to stutter I just don't no what to do I still have the mesh tape in and a never been same from beginning of getting it took view infection now the past few years am getting worse spasm nerve damage and burning my doctor said if want it out they'll send me to see someone. what if they can't take it out am going to be left like this not been able walk without aid and in constant pain. don't think I can handle much more just don't no what to do it has ruined my life. I don't go out anymore can't even play way grandkids just don't no what to do thanks for replying to me.

I am very sorry to learn of the effect this is having on you. I was pleased to note however that you have discussed this with your doctor and I would recommend that you discuss this again with your GP who can then refer you to the appropriate specialist for further input/investigation.
