"Cataract clinic -"

About: Estuary View Medical Centre

I have just had my first cataract removal surgery at Whitstable and I can't wait to go back for the second eye!

The whole process at Whitstable is efficiently managed but also personal and professional. My surgeon is brilliant - full of energy - comes to meet their patient - explains everything very clearly - tells you what they are doing all the while - tells you what to expect - congratulates you on being brave!

The surgeon had a back-log of an hour when I went on Saturday due to a fire alarm that emptied the building -but the surgeon was quickly catching up and the whole team do work as a pleasant and thoughtful efficient team.

If you are put off having your cataract removed by the big chain opthalmogists remember they make more money keeping you in new specs than having your sight restored.

I cannot believe what I can see since this operation!

I realise I have been 'blind' for 20 years!

Unfortunately I can also see the dust and the lines on my face!

I am not from this area so this is not my surgery - but if I lived closer I would certainly want to go there - the building is fresh, modern and parking is excellent.

Thank you very much for your kind comments we will pass your feedback about the surgeon to the Ophthalmology team, it's good to hear you are keen to have your other eye done.

Your comments about the building I have passed to Estuary View Medical Centre's practice manager.

I hope you have made a full recovery.
