"A credit to the service"

About: Bromley Healthcare / Contraception and reproductive health service

(as a service user),

I saw a nurse called Jill when I visited the beacon to discuss contraceptive options. There was a bit of a wait (probably 45mins), but the website did warn me of this and the waiting room was comfortable - it was also quicker than trying to get an appointment at my gp surgery. I felt a bit apprehensive as I have never used the service before, Jill was so down to earth and approachable and really put me at ease. She demonstrated that she was extremely knowledgable about all contraceptive options and gave me information that I was able to understand and process to make my own decision. During my procedure (implant) and the consultation Jill maintained the upmost professionalism, she is a credit to the service and anyone would be lucky to have an appointment with her.

Thank you for your posting. I am pleased that although there was a wait you were warned about this on our website.

I am glad that you felt supported both in your choices and also during the procedure.

Please do not hesitate to use the service again if you feel that we can be of any support.

Kind regards

Amanda
