What I liked

I have taken my mother for treatment and assessment every month for the last 8 months. Without fail, the staff are courteous, attentive, professional and very friendly. This is particularly appreciated by my mother, who is 80.

The hospital is spotless. Parking is usually quite good. Facilities such as shops, coffee shop are excellent.

The nature of mum's treatment means she will always be waiting around, but we have never been in the department for longer than 2 hours. Usually we are waiting the longest to see the consultant, but that's because he is so thorough and spends time explaining everything clearly. He is an absolute godsend to the elderly. No looking past them or muttering - clear, concise explanations in a way that my mum can understand.

What could be improved

There is sometimes insufficient seating because every patient is accompanied.

Anything else?

I specifically chose this hospital for my mum's treatment as I have personal experience of the hospital. Although it is further to travel, it is worth it for the outstanding treatment she receives.
