"Croydon University Hospital - Dermatology"

About: Croydon University Hospital / Dermatology

I was referred to the derm department from my GP in order to be put on medication for my skin. The dermatologist was very friendly and I had to come in every 1-2 months to get another prescription regarding my medication and to have a check up of my skin to see improvements. However, I was told I had to wait for a letter to tell me when my next appointment was. I have so far have had 2 appointments since Feb, and I have had to always called the receptionist up to get an appointment. When the receptionist asked for my details, the receptionist goes there is no appointments down under your details - where I was like totally annoyed at these receptionists are as they were meant to book me and appointment and send it through the post as I needed to be seeing my dermatologist for the duration of 6 months. The receptionist was totally confused over the phone when I asked the receptionist that I needed an appointment asap as I am on daily medication and have run out! The receptionist gave me an appointment two weeks from then which I was totally not happy about!

This was the second/third time I had to call them up for reminding them to give me an appointment.

Thank you for taking the time to give your mixed feedback about the Dermatology Service.

It would be very helpful if you could contact PALS with your details so that your specific circumstances can be looked into, and for us take the opportunity to review the booking systems in Dermatology?

Our PALS office may be contacted by telephone on 020 8401 3210 or by email at ch-tr.pals@nhs.net. The office is open during the week from 9am to 4:45pm.

Kind Regards

Hilary Frayne
