I submitted the self referral on 12/05/2017 when I was 7.5 weeks pregnant based on the message received from the Lewisham and Greenwich midwife team when I asked what the next steps were.
I received the scan appointment letter 27/05 (letter dated 22/05) for 14/06 which is all good however I still haven't received my initial appointment.
I messaged the Lewisham and Greenwhich midwife team again 6 days before my scan appointment to say I still don't have my initial appointment to receive my pregnancy book which you need for the scan appointment and was given a different number to contact which is Manor House midwives to which it appears they only answer the phone between 9:00am and 10:30am and then you are to leave a message and they will get back to you within 24 - 48 hours!!!
After reading other feedback on these services I am now thinking I will not be able to have my 12 week scan (at which point I will be 12.5 weeks).
Extremely disappointing with the lack of communication and contact with people.
I had my first child 3 years ago in the Tower Hamlets area to which I didn't have any of these problems. By this point I had already met the midwife team and had bloods done, urine samples done etc. Such a different experience.
Very nervous about the continued care here based on the initial interaction/lack of...
"I have scan appointment but not initial booking..."
