"The mental health team here are appalling"

About: Sittingbourne Memorial Hospital

Been under the mental health team at this facility since early 2015. I find them appalling. Very unsympathetic and patronising . I have never had access to my care plan nor have I had a care coordinator now In over a year. When I see a psychiatrist I'm always asked what do I want, they never listen and on one occasion when I was in a hyper manic state I was given a round of applause for in their words "putting it on" I've also been told I only want to be seen so I don't have to work . They don't listen to how I feel and on one occasion I had to call the crisis team as I was feeling very low and had high urges to self harm ( I am a self harmer ) as they weren't interested in me . When u ring no one is ever there as they are always "out of office " or on a training course . If you request a call back your lucky if u get one . I waited a week for one when I was promised someone would call that day. They also use bully boy tactics to make u attend courses. I was put on the list for one that I can't attend because I don't mix well with new people but they don't listen to your concerns or try to find a programme to suit u. I've been threatened with "if u don't attend you will be kicked out of mental health or if u miss 3 sessions of a 20 week course regardless of whether your ill, your kids are ill or unforeseen circumstances arise again u will be thrown out of mental health. I've even been threatened with having my medication stopped . To talk to people this way who have anxiety issues and various mental health issues is disgusting . If any thing this has effected my mental health so bad at the moment. I think this service is a complete shambles and utterly disgusting. Something needs to be done as I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way
