What I liked

I thought Sunderland Hospital was wonderful! The premed staff were very helpful and explained everything - to the point of showing me exactly which entrance to come in on the day of my operation (I am from Cumbria). On the day of my operation all the staff were very kind and helpful, and the medical team excellent. On the ward the same excellent caring was in place. As for the food, I couldn't believe that the sandwiches were freshly made - not the pre-packed ones which are usually a couple of days old when you get them! The medication to take home with me was available just a couple of hous after the operation, I have been told that in other areas you have to wait 2 to 4 hours after being discharged for medication. Without hesitation I would certainly recommend this hospital - in fact I have done so already.
