"End of life care on NelsonWard"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Cardiology

My father was admitted to Nelson Ward on 10 May with end stage cardiac failure. He was given active treatment but it was quote obvious that it was not working. He was then put on the End of Life care pathway by his Consultant.

At all times during his admission he and my family were treated with the utmost care, respect and dignity.

My father sadly passed away whilst there, but the exemplary care that he was given, and the compassion shown to him and our family made a difficult time more bearable.

Thank you x
