What I liked

A health care assistants smile, happy mannor.

I had to go on to the nearest ward from the the main entrance in the barry building which was vallance as jowers wouldnt awnser the door to me. A care assistant from vallance came to the door in a polite manner and asked if they could help. All i wanted was directions to the kidney unit so i could visit my wife it was alreay 8.15 pm by then i was getting a bit cross. They were more then happy to take me there even tho they were late for leaving to go home. I had been ignored and rudely spoken to by other proffesionals and had all ready spent a good 30 mins trying to find the ward my self.

What could be improved

Need late staff to cover reception. manner of profesionals however high up the ladder could be adressed.

Anything else?

lot of complaints from other visitors about the lack of comunication. Lack of people on reception past 7pm when visiting hours are 3-5.30 or 7-8.30pm. cross visitors trying to find there way around. i thank young vallance ward especially the health care for taking time and proving that staff do have manners and are happy to help.
