"Excellent service during a difficult time"

About: Victoria Hospital

I came in to the centre with neck pain following an injury and following an examination, I was told I would need to be immobilised to prevent further injury if my neck could possibly be broken. Once my friends had left, I was on my own for 7 hours and a certain nurse made sure to check on me and be sure I was as comfortable as I could be whilst being prone in a neck brace on a trolley for that length of time. They did everything in their power yo make me comfortable and ease my concerns and fears. As a patient I am not great, I worry and get frustrated and I was treated fairly and with care the entire time by this nurse and the rest of the team that dealt with me. The day ended with it only being a neck injury, no broken bones. I am so thankful for the way that nurse treated me, especially when I got upset about not being able to move after hour 4, which soon turned into 7 hours. Thank you very much to the whole team.

Dear Carly

Many thanks for taking the time to review your recent experience at the Minor Injury Unit in Deal. It is very pleasing to hear that the team helped to reassure you during such a stressful time and gave you all the care and treatment you needed.

We will ensure that your kind comments are shared with the staff there.

Best wishes
