"I'm pretty happy with what we have on the ward and our care."

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I attend the choir and listen to music, in particular sea shanty songs which help me to feel spiritual. When I sing it helps to uplift me and takes my mind off things if it has been a stressful day. I also listen to country music which my nan got me into and it helps me to remember her.

Bering a Catholic helps to keep me busy and I enjoy the regular routine. I would like to come on a Sunday to the chapel but there aren't enough staff. I think the routine of being a Catholic has helped me to get better. I don't think the multi-faith room gets used that much.

Staff do their best in helping to support me and get me to the chapel. I would like to see the Catholic chaplain at some point.

I think that the chaplaincy offer a good service at the moment.

The staff on the ward are understanding and most of the time if they don't understand, they try to get to know me. Some staff however, don't seem interested but overall, I'm pretty happy with what we have on the ward and our care.

We will do our utmost to ensure you are able to attend the multi faith room and also meet with the Catholic Chaplain. Please discuss with your RC and Nurse Manager who will be able to help you with this.
