"The attention and kindness I was ..."

About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital

What I liked

The attention and kindness I was given during my stay at this hospital. People from the Early Pregnancy Unit were very kind and helpful at all time. It was clean, bright and spacious. The Victor Bonney ward was very clean and the nurses were very kind and attentive to me and the other patience around me. They were kind to let my husband stay at the ward until I came out of the surgery.

What could be improved

Since I stay only for the day I didn't see the need for improvement, but if I would have needed to stay longer at the hospital it would have been nice to have some sort of tv near the bed for entertainment.

Anything else?

I first went to the Early Pregnancy unit to confirm that I had a miscarriage, they were very helpful by giving me a spot that same morning. The scan showed an incomplete miscarriage and the doctor provided me with all the possible options. Me and my husband decided to go for the intervention of removing what was left from the pregnancy sac. The doctor did her best for me to be able to get the procedure the same day. The found me a bed quite quickly and they allowed my husband to be with me all the time. The wait for the procedure was a bit long, but I couldn't complain since it had such a short notice. The anesthetist was clear and patient with all my questions. Just before the intervention I requested to talk to the doctor who was going to perform the operation and she came within seconds and was very patient and clear while answering to all my question.
