What I liked
Only a few days wait to see a consultant.
Relatively clean compared to hospitals like Watford General.
What could be improved
We have visited this hospital many times over the last year or so and the reception staff are always quite rude, arrogant and generally unhelpful.
There are often queues at reception and it seems to take ages to book someone in for an appointment.
The reception staff and many of the nursing staff seem to prefer to stand around chatting rather than doing any work.
The consultant was very full of himself and pronounced what was wrong with me without much of a consultation. He hardly spoke to me, it was more 'at' me and there was no sense of any desire on his part for me to be involved in my treatment.
The follow up appointment slot was a mere 12 minutes which has to be some kind of record for a private hospital. It felt like the consultant couldn't wait to get me out of the room and off his case files.
The various charges are prohibitively expensive.
