A good clean Hospital.
What could be improved
Customer care! Whilst being spoken to and greeted with a lovely welcoming face the conversations are quite curt. Visiting as an outpatient for an MRI, I booked my appointment and was advised that on the relative day I would be given an `invoice` enabling payment at a later date. On the day in question I was issued with an invoice when I booked in for my MRI and was told payment would have to be made the same day! This was in the hearing of many in the waiting room and I felt embarrassed. I was suprised but fortunately had the funds to pay. I was not happy with the situation and raised this with reception. There was no apology.
My wife, suffering with Neurological problems attempted to make an appointment with a Consultant and despite `many` telephone calls to the Hospital they never returned one call. In a desperate situation, we visited the hospital and were told rudely by staff that if we didnt have medical insurance the Consultant would NOT see my wife. It did not matter that we could pay, he would only see people he was assured of getting payment from. Overall, although the Consultant was rude and very unprofessional and never even made contact with us, the staff and secretaries could have dealt with our case more politely and promptly. Pitty on the professionalism, or lack of it, from such a Consultant.
