What I liked

I had an operation in the Riverside Wing carried out by a surgeon from the Urology Department. It started very early in the morning and, although it was a lengthy and difficult procedure, I had recovered sufficiently to be allowed home early the same evening.My wife collected me and I was pleased to be sleeping in my own bed that night. This was the result of really good organisation by the hospital. It is more efficient for the Health Service and better for the patient to get on with the recovery process. I can recommend it. All of those involved, surgeon, anaesthetist and nurses talked to me before and after the operation to reassure me and themselves that the procedure would have a good outcome. That is exactly what has happened.
