What I liked
My father is currently an in-patient at Walton. First the parking is easy and free. My mother has arthritis and hospital visiting at St.Peters Chertsey in 2009 was so dreadfully stressful that I felt depressed before each day at the thought of what lay ahead. My journey from home, to collect my mother and then drive to S.Peters and park took one and a half hours. Did I have enough change? Would I actually get a parking place? If not where could I leave her while I parked? Secondly Walton is a small hospital so it's easy to find each ward once you arrive. I like the ansaphone entry. Thirdly and more importantly the staff are very respectful and helpful to my father and if I ask the staff nurse or sister anything about his condition or plans they seem to be able to answer or if they can't they say they will find out. Lastly the hospital is very clean and tidy.
