I fell and broke my ankle last year and was taken to BGH A&E. I was in shock, in pain and terrified!
A fantastic nurse ( Andrea ) put me at ease, managed to reassure me and administered painkillers. I then travelled through X ray department, Ward 9, anaesthetics, theatre, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, the plaster room and several orthopaedic outpatient appointments.
Every single member of staff from the cleaner to the surgeon was absolutely fantastic, so caring and so conscientious. My horrible experience was made bearable and even at times, fun by all these amazing NHS staff. Mr T has given me a new pinned and plated ankle, I am eternally grateful to him for his amazing skills!
Thank you all of you from the bottom of my heart xxxx
