"The Borders General Hospital rocks !"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics (Ward 9)

(as the patient),

I fell and broke my ankle last year and was taken to BGH A&E. I was in shock, in pain and terrified!

A fantastic nurse ( Andrea ) put me at ease, managed to reassure me and administered painkillers. I then travelled through X ray department, Ward 9, anaesthetics, theatre, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, the plaster room and several orthopaedic outpatient appointments.

Every single member of staff from the cleaner to the surgeon was absolutely fantastic, so caring and so conscientious. My horrible experience was made bearable and even at times, fun by all these amazing NHS staff. Mr T has given me a new pinned and plated ankle, I am eternally grateful to him for his amazing skills!

Thank you all of you from the bottom of my heart xxxx

Dear Roman Holiday, Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about your experience in the Borders General Hospital. I am sorry that you broke your ankle and needed to attend the Borders General Hospital, but eally pleased to hear that our staff were able to reassure you and that you had such a good care experience.

I have passed your kind words onto the teams involved in your care who I know will really appreciate your positive feedback.

I hope that you have now fully recovered from your injury.

Kind regards.
