What I liked

I was first assessed at the Lymphoedema and Tissue viability Clinic at this hospital in February 2009. I was measured and prescribed a new type of support hosiery which has completely transformed my life completely. My mobility has increased and my legs are gradually reducing in size for the first time in 11 years of having had my condition. I attended for reviews in May 2009 and November 2009 and have been re-measured on both occasions. In November 2009 my legs had reduced significantly in size and hosiery in the new measurements were prescribed for me. I have been given excellent advice on skin care, especially pertinent for wearers of support hosiery. Hydrating products have been prescribed to enable me to provide the correct skin care for myself. I feel my nurse is dedicated to my well being and intent on improving my condition still further. They are always kind and considerate, and always makes appointments for me that will not interfere with my working pattern. I could not have wished for better treatment. My grateful thanks and congratulations to my nurse, who is among the most dedicated healthcare providers I have ever met.

What could be improved

Nothing, I am very pleased with every aspect of the care I receive at this hospital. Keep up the good work.

Anything else?

In addition to the nurse whom I see, I am pleased to mention that all the other staff members, other nurses, secretaries, administrators, cleaners and other staff are always kind and courteous. I have telephoned the Lymphoedema and Tissue Viability Clinic on two or three occasions, and my enquiries have always been dealt with in a courteous, caring and sensitive manner. The standard of cleanliness in the Clinic is second to none. I congratulate all the staff for their unstinting dedication to their work.

This hospital is a credit to the NHS. This hospital should be regarded as an outstanding contributor to healthcare.
