What I liked
The beeper system for the nurse to call when they were ready; and the effort to try to get me to be followed by the same consultant; main hospital reception; pleasant and efficient receptionist.
What could be improved
ACU Reception is shared with otehr services; receptionist was too loud, patients do not wish to hear why other people are here for, or the others to hear why they are here for; it's embarrassing and a lack of respect for our privacy. General impression: staff polite but very cold and not especially pleasant.
the dreadful smell throughout the hospital, but especially at main entrance; (although it visually looks clean); it smells of unclean body/ body subtances (like in old elderly care homes...); I don't know how staff can bare it; I would much prefer smelling detergent/ desinfectant!
