"This really will change my life."

I saw Mr Harvey at first at Victoria Central Hospital Wallasey. He advised me I needed a full knee replacement. That was December. I was admitted to Clatterbridge Hospital in March,  Ward M2.

I had the operation in the  afternoon and all was successful. I was up walking the next day with a walker and that afternoon I was given 2 sticks from the Physiotherapist. I walked out of the ward along the corridor and up a flight of stairs and back down the stairs and back to the ward. They were with me every step of the way and showed me how to do this correctly. I could not believe it. I had just walked pain free. My leg had also been straightened.

I seriously can not thank Mr Harvey and all of his team enough. Both V C Hospital. All the staff at Clatterbridge Hospital. They were so very professional, kind understanding and very respectful to all my needs. I said to the Physiotherpists what a difference this operation is going to make to my life and I am not being dramatic. They actually said when we said good bye go and live and enjoy the rest of your life.

I am now attending Arrowe Park Hopital Physiotherapist Department. Again a lovely team. Respectful, polite and really get the job done.

I have had arthritis for the past 20 years slowly getting worse and worse. It is in most of my joints. With out the NHS I really wouldn't have a quality of life. Every member of staff from Consultants, doctors, nurses, even cleaners. Have all only been pleased to help me in any way have I needed.

I was so reluctant to have a knee replacement. I was at the stage where I could hardly walk. I might have as well as been walking backwards I was so slow. I am so glad I did and the operation and it has been to me a great success. I am so....... pleased with every thing. This really will change my life.
