"Attending A&E with severe Gallbladder pain"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Accident and emergency

I have had to attend the A&E department twice in the past 2 weeks due to severe pain from my Gallblader when it flares. Both times I have come, I have been treated with the greatest of care and compassion from the HCA staff, Nursing staff and the Doctors. Although I have had to wait a while before recieving pain relief, once written up by the Doctor, the burses have bought it very quickly qith a smile on their face and the nurse last nice was very humourous too - it is so nice to see these people actually enjoying their jobs! Honestly cannot thank this department enough. Luckily I have now had a date through for the removal of ny Gallvladder which will take place at the City Hospital in 2 weeks time! Many thanks to the entire A&E department at QMC.

Thank you for taking your time to get in touch – it’s really good of you to do so. I’ve shared your feedback with our staff in the Emergency Department, who asked me to pass on their thanks and send their best wishes.

Warmest regards,

Jane Newton, Matron, Emergency Department.
