I went in Scarborough Hospital for major surgery. I obviously was very anxious from the start but I have to say I couldn't of been treated better. I began my journey in Aspen ward where all the staff were courteous and caring. Then in theatre I have to say every single member of the surgical team were brilliant. The Anaesthetists really took care of me. They all made me feel safe. Waking up in recovery they never left my side. They answered any questions I had. Then transferred to Lilac ward in my own room which was very welcomed as I felt a little weak and tired at this stage. All the staff again have to give credit to as I think they do a fantastic job. The day & night shift nurses took great care of me on lilac Ward. Finally I have to mention my Consultant's who I don't think can name. They assisted one another in my slightly difficult Operation and thanks to their expertise I ended having it done by keyhole surgery instead of open surgery & my recovery will be alot better. I will say these two Consultant's are from Gynaecology, just want to say a big thankyou from myself and my husband you do an incredible job. So don't always believe everything you hear and read and go by your own experiences when you visit Scarborough Hospital.
