"Thank You Churchill Ward"

About: Orpington Hospital / Older people's healthcare

Having a parent with dementia is always distressing especially when their life expectancy is uncertain but Churchill Ward have demonstrated all that makes our NHS great. We have been guided through everything we didn't know and have been treated as a whole family. A big "thank you" to the fantastic nursing staff and lovely ward clerk who have patiently answered our questions and been so kind to both our parents. A great big shout of thanks to the Dr who has cared for both our parents with such compassion and professionalism. You are the best!!!

Firstly apoligies for not responding earlier to your posting, How good to hear that your loved one was so well treated on Churchill Ward at Orpington. As you may be aware, this is a new ward to help patients bridge the gap from being in hospital to going home or being cared for in another community setting, It's wonderully encouraing that this new service is already meeting the needs or our most vulnerable patients. The staff will be so pleased to read your comments and thank you so much for sharing.
