"Cotswold ward day case"

I went to the coltswold ward for a day case operation, on arrival I was greeted by a smiling nurse which immediately put me at ease! I was efficiently admitted followed by a brilliant service from the staff , HCA, Nurses, anaesthetist, student nurses/doctors and surgical team!

You could see that the staff where extremely busy, however this did not reflect in the level of care that was given! They where not moaning about this and simplify getting on with there job as efficiently and safely as possible. They where attentive and sympathetic whilst under pressure!

i was a little shocked at some of the patients/there families attitude and the difficulties they where causing your clinical team! Despite this bahviour the staff remained professional, caring and sympathetic!

Patients need to have a better understanding of what the clinical staff do and cut them a bit of slack!
