I would once again like to express my gratitude and sincere admiration for the amazing staff at the NHS. In particular Mr Zamvar, Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh. I recently had a VATS right lower lobectomy to remove a cancerous growth on my lung and was fortunate to have been placed under the care of Mr Zamvar by my doctor, Dr Mackenzie. Mr Zamvar was thorough in detailing the procedure to me in plain English so I was fully aware of what to expect; his follow-up visits in the ward were very reassuring and I felt quite safe. He's the loveliest man with a happy, friendly demeanour sure to put anyone at ease. I have no doubt the NHS have the very best professionals looking after our health, of which Mr Zamvar is a shining example. I would also like to thank Catherine and Lori, the liaison nurses, for their friendly and enthusiastic support.
"Another experience of NHS care at its best"
