What I liked
The service is superb and the willingness to help of staffs is second to none. I previously had cervical screenings, which cell abnormalities (CIN 1) have been found, with a different hospital. However, I have bleeding between periods whilst my next appointment is 3 months away from now. However, I could not take the whole day out of work to visit my GP and hospital where are situated far away from my office. I then found that my symptom is one of those symptoms appearing on the Jefferiss Wing at St Mary's Hospital's website. Therefore, I just used their walk-in service and had all sorted out while being referred to Colposcopy dept. on the same day. At the Jefferiss Wing, each patient is given an identity number, which is used for calling the patient into consultant's or treatment rooms. This is good for privacy.
At the Dept. of Colposcopy, the staffs are also very helpful and lovely. I have my appointment for less than a month (just after the X-mas holiday). Wonderful.
Many thanks.
What could be improved
I would like the NHS to provide nicer and healthier indoor air and environment for their staffs. For example, natural daylight and/or appropriate full-spectrum artificial lighting should be considered in the hospital environment to improve health and well-being of the staffs (and of course, patients). When your staffs are well looked after, the consequences will show in their productivity and then pass on to patients. Thank you.
Anything else?
Have a Wonderful Christmas and 2010!
