I rang my surgery for an emergency appointment with a female doctor and was told unless I disclose to the receptionist my problem I was unable to have an appointment.
I refused to give them any information and said it was important that I see I doctor. I told them I didn't think it appropriate that I discuss my issues with them. She made the appointment.
Then a minute later I had a call from the surgery stating that due to new surgery rules I was unable to have my appointment if I did not disclose why I wanted it to them. These are apparently new surgery rules. I told them I was very upset and said it was extremely unfair to be treated in this way but they stuck to being unable to give me the appointment.
What sort of surgery is this? I rarely go to see the doctor and when I do its for a very legitimate reason. I do not appreciate being interviewed by a receptionist when I just wanted to discuss my issues with my doctor.
Disgraceful.
