I have no words to use to express my gratitude to the honeysuckle team at Liverpool Women's Hospital.
I just wish that we had angels like them working back home. I hope that some day we will.
Marie thank you so much to yourself and Sarah for coming in early in March to accommodate us in picking Baby * up, to take her home. Looking back now, it all happened so quickly and I was in a daze. I don't know what I was expecting. I think I subconsciously I thought that we would drop our little white coffin into the mortuary and it would be handed back to us with our baby inside.
When you walked us into that room and * baby was lying there in the beautiful Moses basket, I felt like somebody physically put a piece of my heart back into my chest. I cannot explain. She was exactly as I left her. With all her little things I had put with her. It was like a beautiful dream. Holding her one more time and giving her one more kiss was like a special gift. And knowing that I was the last one to touch her means more to me than anything. You will never know how much you and your colleagues have helped us. We are eternally grateful to you. You are very special people, every one of you.
Midwives Kelly and Emma working on the delivery suite were absolutely amazing. So professional and compassionate. I have high expectations of healthcare staff, and everybody that we met at Liverpool Women's Hospital surpassed these.
Again, Thank You so much to all of the Honeysuckle team and the delivery suite staff.
