"The Nurse Practioner was on their ..."

What I liked

The Nurse Practioner was on their own and hurrying around but stopped immediately to listen attentively to what I had to say and didn't continue until sure I had finished. Whilst treating me for a broken foot they dealt with two other urgent patients including an anaphalactic shock, tried to make an appointment for me at my local hospital despite an incompetent switchboard operator at my local who twice put them through to a wrong number. Depite all this it was done in a competent unflappable and very good natured manner and even found time to escort us to the car and give me a hug when I got upset. I never felt I was having to wait and can't expect as good a treatment from my own loved ones and we will never meet again. That evening I got a follow up call about further treatment when they were off duty.

What could be improved

A member of the theatre staff provided support but only because theatre wasn't busy.

Anything else?

I hope the lack of staff is temporary.
