"I'm going to give birth at ..."

About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital

What I liked

I'm going to give birth at this hospital and I'm already shocked, as people working there seem to be completely indifferent, their English is quite bad (fortunately, my husband was with me, who translated from English into English for me), no explanations at all. When I came for my 36 week appointment, I had some questions in regards to my birth plan...I was "amazed", as "wonderful" midwife kept answering to all questions: it depends, it's up to you...Sorry, but I'm not sure if it's better to have the cord cut when it's pulsing or afterwards or i'm not sure if vitamin K is good for the baby or not (I read in internet that it can cause leucomia...). IT took her 5-7 minutes to make all so-called tests, she kept writing something, I thought I'd checked when we leave,..I can't describe my feeling when I saw some tape measurements, in reality she didn't even use any tape measure!!!! The rest was like everything is ok, should I believe her? I asked for a scan we (me and husband) were happy to pay, I had flu recently, wanted to be sure that everything is fine there, but she refused. So, mums-to-be, before making a decision to have antenatal care in this hospital, think rwice. My friend lost her baby, on her 39 weeks in this hospital... We are paying taxes and we can#t get normal antenatal care, when I told to my mum that I visit midwife once a month, she was shoked!!!!

What could be improved

EVERYTHING!!!!!!
