I was referred to the orthotics department at Seacroft almost by chance - and I shall forever be grateful for this. The person who saw me prescribed me knee braces which have made a huge difference to my mobility. I won't be running marathons any time soon, but at least I can now manage to take my children to school without my knee caps sliding out of place. I have always been treated with respect here & feel that my views are taken on board. I believe that a lot of the other sections of Leeds' hospitals could learn many good lessons from this department; it runs in the way I imagine truly excellent hospitals should run. This isn't just a review on one visit; it has been a constant impression over a number of appointments & each time I thought would be the time when my illusion was shattered. It simply hasn't been the case. Accessible parking is close by (rather important for the orthotics clinic) & everybody, from the receptionists to the consultants, is willing to help. Thank you so much for your care of me - it is deeply appreciated.
