"Chaplaincy: Supportive & Encouraging"

About: St Andrew's Healthcare

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My faith is very important to me as it allows me to think positively in difficult situations. Church has built up my confidence by singing in the choir & reading the lessons.

My faith has grown whilst in St Andrews Healthcare. The chaplaincy service has helped me through prayers & general support. I think I’ve had sufficient chaplaincy support but could have more. However, I know how busy they are. I like to have a catch up with them.

We have been twice to Peterborough Cathedral which was very interesting. It was nice to listen to a Cathedral Choir. This helps me in my worship as I like church music. The music helps me to feel calm and relaxed.

Two words to describe Chaplaincy: Supportive & Encouraging.

It was wonderful to receive such positive and warm feedback about the chaplaincy service. Your feedback demonstrates how important this service is for you and it is great to hear that they have been positive and supportive. We often forget the things that give us confidence and I was encouraged by your insights into the confidence building that has taken place for you through participating in singing and as part of a choir. I would like to say very well done to you for your input to the choir and I hope that this continues to be a great experience for you.

Your comments have been shared with staff and in particular with the Chaplins. Once again thank you for this feedback which helps us to check out how we are doing.

All the best.

Sophia
