"Thank you to everyone who helped me"

About: University Hospital Monklands / General Medicine (Wards 2,10,12 and 17)

(as the patient),

I was sent to A&E by my GP with a raised heart rate and suspected DKA. The staff in A&E were great but were clearly under a great deal of pressure due to the fact the place was so busy. I was then moved to MRU and the staff were excellent. I work for NHS Lanarkshire and saw the values of the trust being upheld by everyone I met today, the fact that everyone was so busy but able to work with a smile on their faces is amazing. Thank you to everyone who helped me. The only problem was I didn't catch anyone's names so can't offer personal thanks.

Dear Kazri

I'm really sorry to hear that you have been unwell, but thank you so much for taking the time to give such positive feedback to our teams in the Emergency Department and Medical Receiving areas at Monklands Hospital.

As a member of the NHS Lanarkshire team, I'm sure you can appreciate that it is feedback like this that can really put a smile on people's faces when they are working in such a busy clinical area, so I will be sure to pass this on to them.

I hope you are feeling much better now,

Thanks again and best wishes

Nichola
