I was admitted to Waddington ward during the early hours of 10/3/2017.having first been checked in MEAU. The staff on MEAU were friendly and efficient and I would like to thank them for the care they gave me.
I would like to thank all the staff who work on Waddington Ward for the wonderful care I received
All the staff were very helpful and efficient and although all the staff were very busy they were able to maintain the personal touch without appearing to be rushed. It was a pleasure to see the cleaning staff come into the ward in the morning they were so cheerful and kind. My bed was changed every day by a member of the care team, which I understand from them is normal practice.Nursing staff were well trained and well led. They have excellent knowledge which they were able to use to lead a quality care team, they were able to answer any questions I had and give reassurance when I need it. We had an older lady in our bay I observed nurses and care staff taking time with this lady to support and reassure her when she was a little distressed.I thought to myself "what wonderful care" Everyday I was seen by a doctor on the ward who kept me informed of my planned care. On the day I was being discharged I saw the oncologist I would normally see in the clinic they went through my planned chemo therapy and discussed some test that I am waiting to have. Waddington ward have a well led team of staff who deliver excellent care My sincere thanks to everyone who looked after me in any way.
