About: The Cheshire & Merseyside NHS Treatment Centre

What I liked

------ Truly a Flagship for the NHS-------------

The speed and efficiency of this hospital was quite impressive, from the 'Pre Op' assessment stage through to the hip replacement operation and final discharge. Being ex forces I have a morbid fear of needles and the thought of an Epidural just left me cold, but the quiet re-assurance of the medical team soon left me feeling quite at ease about it. When it happened I hardly noticed it and next moment, I was back in ward ordering a cheese sandwich. It really was that simple. I was amazed. The after care was second to none and I would say only surpassed by the technical excellence of the consultant surgeon and his team. Before retiring I had previously been treated at a private (BUPA) hospital for a shoulder condition, but nothing comes close to my experience at the 'The Cheshire and Merseyside NHS Treatment Centre', I would certainly recommend the centre without hesitation to anyone considering orthopaedic surgery. My only disappointment was 'an early discharge', a sentiment shared by my two other fellow patients. It may sound crazy but we really did enjoy our stay at 'The Cheshire and Merseyside NHS Treatment Centre'.

What could be improved

My requests for coffee, cognac and mints after dinner appear to be ignored.

Anything else?

I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to Senior nurse and his band of 'Cheery Angels' for their untiring attention and devotion to excellence. A comment about the catering -- Equal to any 3 star hotel.
