I cant thank the staff enough for the care and attention they gave my son. He fell at school which has resulted in a broken elbow. When my mum arrived at reception the clerks was kind and recognised how distressed my son was. She escalated this to the staff. As a result, he was taken for treatment straight away. Nursing and medical staff were compassionate, attentive and quick to initiate treatment. They gave him oromorph which eased his pain a a great deal. He is now proudly showing off his plaster and sling to anyone who will listen.
He was in and out the department in 2 hours. During this time each and everyone of the staff were polite, professional, caring and trying their hardest to put a smile on his face. His treatment was timely - this is all thanks to team work within the department. Please pass my thanks to all who were on shift at that time. I really appreciate all of you who took the time to look after my little boy. You must see this type of accident every day but the care was truly person centred yesterday - thank you to all.
