What I liked
My daughter had to spend nearly two weeks on Rainbow ward...... The care provided by the nurses was fantastic however the Doctors appeared to not have any care plan for my child and it seeemed that every day we would be told a different story... We also expereienced a battle of egos between doctors and Nurses with regards to the medication my child should recieve ....As a parent with a sick child this situation was very fustrating and at time upseting... However I would like to point out that the doctors who covered the nights when they had to save my childs live without the basic equipment required as it appeared to not work or be provided acted extremely quickly and saved her .. We willl always be grateful for the quick response... but they should not have been put in to a situation where the basic euipment isnt there ? and I cant help but wonder that if the day time doctors had been on would my child still be here with us today !!!!The environment was dirty with little facitities to accommodate parents who have to stay due to the age range not forgetting hospital policy was shocking and of basic standards ie one hard chair for sleeping on !!!!! My child has stayed in a few hospital now and I have to say that this has to be the worse so far and one to avoid.
What could be improved
the whole environment
