"Chairing a patients' interview panel"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a volunteer/advocate),

I have always found a patient interview panel to be beneficial and a positive experience. As patients we are able to connect with the interviewees as to what we would like (and need) from the staff working with us.

Today however was disappointing with the number of interviews that took place due to candidates dropping out last minute.

Yes indeed patients are an essential part of the reruitment process. You and your colleagues provide insight to the people we need to employ to meet your needs and deliver hgh quality nursing care.

The drop out of candidates is unfourtunately unsurprising as they are many vacancies thorughout the NHS. Rampton Hospital like the rest of the NHS providers has to compete from the same pool of registered nurses. We are however pleased to inform you that we have a recruitment plan whereby we are recruiting on a regular basis. Yours and your colleagues involvment is always welcomed, valued and respected.
