"The nursing staff on the ward ..."

What I liked

The nursing staff on

the ward were

excellent and the

consultant and

anaesthetist were

very thorough and

kept me informed

regarding any

complications during

my procedure.

What could be improved

The reception staff

were very

unwelcoming,

unhelpful and

unnecessarily rude.

Also some of the

other nursing staff

around the hospital

seemed

unbelievably self

absorbed, one

women (in a nurses

uniform) even

stopped to drink her

glass of water in

front of the only

water cooler

blocking access to it

so my mother, who

was in pyjamas so

very obviously a

patient, from being

able to get a drink.

Also the sandwich

my mother was

given was very dry

and had egg shell

in. This was

particularly bad as

the procedure she

had had causes a

dry throat and

mouth. Also the

sandwich i brought

out of the visitors

machine was 3

DAYS OUT OF DATE!

And mouldy.
